*WARNING: Never expose this Faceted Sapphire Insert Cup to direct flame, only heat it within a quartz banger to prevent cracking due to thermal shock. Make sure it's at room temperature before applying any cleaning solutions, for the same reason. Stress cracks will occur due to thermal shock which is related to the coefficient of expansion of the material. This is not caused due to the hardness of Sapphire, ranking a 9 on the Mohs hardness scale.
