Isopropyl Alcohol, and its fumes are very flammable! Keep large amounts of isopropyl alcohol far away from your dab station and torch! Keep any open amounts of ISO under a lid to prevent fumes from floating freely. Also, torches and their flames get very hot! Proceed with caution and attention.
Yes, you should clean your quartz nail after every dab! This seems like a big commitment, but it’s one of the best changes you can make in your dabbing game if you don’t already do this. Trust me on this. You deserve to make the most of your time, effort, and money with every dab! We've all dabbed from dirty nails before, but it's no way to live. So, here’s how to make this improvement, quickly, every time. Your banger, lungs, and terpy taste buds will thank you!
Read this article to learn how to properly clean and care for your dab rig, bong, or water pipe. Your dabs should be tastier, more enjoyable, and healthier!
“If you take care of your equipment, your equipment will take care of you!”

Follow Steps 1-3 Below if your dab rig, water pipe, or bong is new or is kept very clean already.
If you just bought a new dab rig, bong, or water pipe, you want to keep it clean and well-maintained from the start. It’s much easier this way, and your glass can stay looking nice and provide tasty rips for years to come. Read on to learn the steps!
Follow steps 1-4 below if your dab rig, water pipe, or bong is disgrossting! (Misspelled word blend above intended! -- Disgusting X Gross!)
Your dab rig, water pipe, or bong is straight-up nasty! WTH man? It’s black, smells terrible, and is likely seeding some of the same bacteria that first inhabited the Earth. You can’t enjoy what we love most using equipment like that. Here’s how to cut through the nasty and reclaim good taste and enjoyment!
If you followed these nasty dirty steps and your glass water pipe, bong, or dab rig still doesn't look as nice as you'd like, try repeating the steps again and increasing time durations and shaking intensity.
*If mineral deposits are already present after step #1, but before your ISO bath, soak your piece in a 1:1 solution of distilled water and vinegar to remove the mineral deposits. You can also spray on this solution and wipe the external surfaces of your piece to remove mineral deposits.
So, you want in on the Terp Slurper Craze and don’t know where to start? Well, WE GOT YOU! I remember first researching “How to use a terp slurper,” and I didn’t have much luck on the subject. Most videos were just people jamming huge dabs into their Slurpers and didn’t help me much in answering the frequently asked questions - “How long do I heat up and cool down my terp slurper” or “when is the right time to drop my dab in a terp slurper?” All TERP SLURPERS AND TORCHES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL, so keep in mind these times I mention might vary depending on your equipment, but this should give you a good baseline heat up and cool down time to start with! I have seen so many videos showing people heating their bangers or terp slurpers until they were glowing red and then instantly dropped their dab in. This is SO WRONG and should NEVER be done. The point of dabbing is to VAPORIZE your concentrate not to combust it. I like to use a baseline of 60 seconds of heat up time, spreading the heat around the terp slurper as best you can, focusing the heat on the bottom dish and center tube. I then like to wait about 40-60 seconds for the banger to cool down before dropping in the dab. The longer you wait, the less vapor production (cloud size) you will get, BUT the lower temps will allow the terpenes (cannabis flavonoids) in our extracts to survive and give us a better-tasting dabbing experience.
To elaborate on that, if you drop your dab at a higher temp, it can burn off the terpenes, and then we don’t get those flavors we would want at lower temps. Some would say the negatives to these lower temp dabs are that sometimes you don’t get as big of a cloud, and physical effects can be slightly lighter. Another thing you need to consider is the TEXTURE of the dabs you're using. If you try to dab diamonds, you might need to drop them at a higher temp because the diamonds take a little more heat to melt than, say, a more buttery type concentrate. All of these variables play a role in getting that perfect Terp Slurper dab, but the most important thing, in my opinion, is to have fun with it! For real, though! Have fun, and don’t worry, it’s just a Quartz banger, and it was made for you to heat up & cool down, so don’t baby it, heat that banger up, and GO FOR IT! I hope this tutorial and video help you in your next Terp Slurping or Dabbing experience! Please share this video and follow The Dabbing Specialists & Steve on social media at:

Fact: Nobody likes dabbing out of a dirty nail. Who wants resin clogging up your nail to the point where you can't even take a decent pull? In addition to poor airflow, carcinogens are most prevalent in wax resin. Even our renowned 99.4% pure titanium hardware can offer a horrible dab when left unkempt. That's why you clean your equipment.
Everybody cleans their hardware differently. Of course, some methods are better and healthier than others. But what's the best way? Check out the video below to find out!
Need more help? Read the steps below and you'll have your titanium looking brand new once more!
Of course, you'll need something to hold your tools while they soak. It's recommended that you don't use anything made of glass for this; one slip-up while you're cleaning, and you'll be picking shards of glass out of your nail for hours.
We instead recommend our Utensil Cleaning Jar due to its durable plastic construction so it won't break if dropped and its 16 oz storage capacity which gives plenty of space to work with. It's also great for cleaning smaller glass pieces like bowls, pipes, and chillums. If you're strapped for cash, however, any plastic container, or even a ziplock bag will do the trick although if your use a bag, be sure to watch it more closely to make sure the bag doesn't leak or open.
Next, you're going to want to fill the container with your cleaning product until all the titanium is submerged. We use the Formula 710 Advanced Cleaner because it strips tools of any leftover wax like nothing else in the market. Another plus is that Formula 710 is reusable, earth-friendly, and biodegradable, so you'll never feel bad pouring it down a drain. If you're looking for a cheaper solution, isopropyl with added salt is a great option. Note that isopropyl does take longer to clean your hardware, though.
Once you add your cleaning solution, let your hardware soak for a few hours. Depending on how dirty your tools are and what solution you're using to clean them, you may be able to skip this step.
To remove the resin, you're going to want to shake the container well. This allows the abrasive materials in the solution to rub against your tools and take off the leftover wax. For the best results, we recommend vigorously shaking the container for up to 10 minutes to remove all the excess material. After sufficient shaking, go ahead and pour out your solution. If you're using Formula 710, then you can pour the solution back into its bottle for future use.
If you feel like your titanium is already sufficiently clean, then feel free to skip this step. If you want to be thorough, this step is a must. While soaking your tools cleans most of the wax off them, there's usually still some left in the hard-to-reach parts of the hardware. While our cleaner brushes and titanium scraper and scooper are the best tools for this, you can also use Q-tips and/or alcohol pads.
Lastly, soak your titanium hardware in rubbing alcohol for as long as you see fit. This will deep clean your tools and sanitize them.
Afterwards, rinse with warm water to remove whatever product is leftover as well as residue from your cleaning products.
